About Anna
Anna is a licensed clinical social worker, specializing in perinatal mood disorders and maternal mental health.
Anna also provides support to adolescents and young adults. She graduated from Dominican University in 2014 with her Master’s in Social Work and her professional educator’s license, type 73.
In 2018, Anna completed her certificate course through Postpartum Support International. She received her certification as a perinatal mental health specialist in 2020. Anna has been working with mothers with anxiety, depression, OCD and fertility concerns since 2018.
Anna has developed a passion for working with women and families in the perinatal period and throughout motherhood. She uses a mindful approach to therapy and incorporates techniques from the nation’s leading postpartum researcher, Karen Kleiman.
In her work with clients Anna uses a holistic approach to help them build on their own strengths. In addition, Anna uses treatment modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy.
Anna believes building a strong therapeutic relationship is healing. Developing trust between herself and clients creates a safe space where clients can feel they are able to create change for themselves.
